About the Scholarship

The NM Manufactured Housing Association founded this fund in 1996 to grant scholarships to New Mexico graduating high school seniors living in a manufactured house. 

The scholarship is sponsored by Albuquerque Community Foundation to provide a scholarship award to a New Mexico high school graduate residing in a manufactured home.

How to apply?

  • The candidate is required to submit an application available on the official website of the foundation.

  • Candidates are required to submit high school transcript such as a copy of SAT or ACT scores, a scholarship essay addressing the specific questions.

  • Students must attend a 2 or 4-year non-profit public educational institution.

  • Students are required to submit a recent copy of  New Mexico State Income Tax Return and a residency proof in mobile/manufactured home. 

  • Students are required to comply with the applicant's requirement.

  • Applicants must submit an application online by the deadline dates.

Scholarship Amount

The Albuquerque Community Foundation awards $1000 annually to various fields of interest including the arts, education, emerging need, environment, health and human services.


The deadline for the scholarship is Thursday, April 4, 2019. Students are requested to submit all required documents received by the stated date. Incomplete application will not be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a senior high school graduate when applying.

  • Must be a New Mexico resident for a year or more.

  • Must be a citizen of the United States.

  • Must attend high school in New Mexico at the moment.

  • Must have an average grade point of 3.0 or above.

  • Must live in a manufactured or mobile home.

  • Must schedule full-time enrollment in an accredited, non-profit, post-secondary educational institution.
