About the Scholarship
Western Golf Association and celebrated amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr. established the Evans Scholars Foundation in the year 1930. The Foundation encourages to support caddies financially for their academic study. The Evan Scholarship assists academic, professional and social resources to the caddies who are in greater financial need. The scholarship application is accepted at the starting of a student's senior year of high school or college.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant must submit the strong caddie record, that demonstrates the performance of a caddie.
In addition to that, a student must have excellent academic performance. To demonstrate that an applicant must submit the official transcripts of ACT/SAT scorecards.
An applicant must clearly demonstrate their financial need by submitting the CSS Profile and FAFSA application form.
In addition to that, an applicant must have an outstanding character by showing leadership qualities.
The scholarship committee will verify all the documents and selects the applicants after completion of the interview.
The scholarship award can be applied to any number of eligible applicants, and it is renewable.
All the official transcripts and documents are submitted before October 30.
Applicants must have caddied for a minimum of two years and are expected to caddie the year they apply for the Scholarship.
An applicant must have completed their junior high school with above a B average to be eligible for the scholarship.
Students must take the ACT or SAT exams.
An applicant must be outstanding in character, integrity, and leadership and also must exhibit the financial need.
