The Children of Divorce Scholarship is awarded by the Law Firm of Ayo & Iken which helps their clients with various problems, like divorce, custody, bankruptcy, criminal defense, wills/trusts/estates, and employee rights.
The Children of Divorce Scholarship is an essay writing competition, which helps individuals going through the hardships of a separated household. It focuses on helping the children of those parents who are suffering from divorce and custody issues.
How to apply for this competition?
The following are the required by the applicants to apply for the Children of Divorce Scholarship
A completed copy of the applicant's application, which can be found online on the official website of Law Firm of Ayo & Iken.
A copy of the applicant's self-written essay on how their parents are still trying to work together, despite being separated.
A copy of the candidate's personal letter recognizing their own interest must be submitted.
The above-mentioned documents must be submitted to the address mentioned on or prior to the given deadline date.
Scholarship Amount and Deadline
The Children of Divorce Scholarship award amounts to $1000 each year for 2 deserving candidates every year.
The required contents must be submitted to the concerned department no later than May 01.
A candidate is advised to keep track of the deadline as any delay in submitting an application will lead to disqualification.
The eligibility criteria for the applicants to apply for the Children of Divorce Scholarship are:
The applicant must attend a Florida high school.
An applicant must be a high school senior at the time of application and plan to attend post-high school education.
A candidate must be a resident of Florida and a legal citizen of the United States.
A recipient must live in a household separated by divorce.
