About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation, an organization that prepares and supports the next generation of manufacturing and engineering talent. They prepare manufacturing and engineering talent by partnering with industries to inform and provide modern equipment, tailored curriculum, and hands-on training to high schools across the country.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should complete the application, which can be found on the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation site.
Along with the application, the applicant should also submit an essay of 300 words or less on the topic listed online, a resume, official academic transcripts, two recommendation letters and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The minimum award amount is $1,000 and is non-renewable.
The number of awards offered varies every year.
The deadline date is set for February 1
An applicant must be a full-time UG student enrolled in a degree course in the field relating to the manufacturing engineering or technology, or any other closely related field.
High preference will be given to the student who is attending an approved Colorado institution.
A student must have completed a minimum of 30 college credits and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.
