About the Scholarship

The Conditional Grant Program is awarded by the Texas Department of Transportation to the students who pursue academic study in civil engineering or department-approved operational business discipline. The award is given to both accredited Texas public and private four-year institutions. To gain this grant opportunity a student must be in great economical burden.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • A student must complete an online FAFSA application form to demonstrate the financial need.

  • In addition to that, he/she must provide a letter of recommendation from college.

  • And also, an applicant must provide information and documentation relating to residency status, secondary school performance or college performance, the current or intended enrollment institution.

  • A scholarship application must be submitted by March 1st of each year.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The Conditional Grant program awards $6000 annually to qualified applicants. The awards are renewable throughout a student's U.G degree.

All applicants need to submit the necessary documents for a scholarship before 1st March 2020.


Eligibility Criteria

  • students should be pursuing a degree in civil engineering or department-approved operational business discipline.

  • A student should be a Texas resident eligible to work in the U.S.,

  • A student should have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.00 on 4.00 scale, ora minimum score of 900 on the SAT or a minimum score of 21 on the ACT.

  • A student should plan to attend an accredited four-year Texas public or private college or university as a full-time student.

  • The applicant must agree to work for TxDOT for two years immediately following graduation.
