About the Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the organization Communities Foundation of Texas. This Dallas Area Paralegal Association Scholarship Fund is to support students working to reach their full potential in high schools, colleges and universities, and professional and continuing education programs across the country.

How to apply for the scholarship?

The candidates can find the application online on the official website The Communities Foundation of Texas website.

To apply for this award the students must first register an account with The Communities Foundation of Texas.

Then upon registration, the students will be prompted to supply personal information for the general application.

The student has to submit the evidence of eligibility for admission to an accredited four-year college or university transcript.

The student has to submit an endorsement letter by school official on school stationery.

the student has to submit the FAFSA card.

The student has to submit the academic scorecard.

Awarded amount of the scholarship:

The awarded amount of this scholarship is  $!500 per year.

This scholarship is non-renewable and the number of awards given to the students per year is one.

Deadline for the scholarship:

The deadline for this scholarship is 1st April.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This award is given especially for students who are majoring in paralegal studies with good academic background.

  • A student must exhibit exceptionally good leadership skills and involvement in community services.

  • An applicant must demonstrate financial needs.

  • A student must have earned at least 3.0 or above grade point average to be eligible for the scholarship.
