About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a tax-exempt organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties.
Through their community grants program, nonprofit organizations can apply for financial support to continue the important work that enhances our communities. The grant supports graduating seniors who are interested in a career in journalism or music. The candidate selection will be based on factors including academic achievements and a strong work ethic.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants must first create an account on the Community Foundation of NCW online site and complete the eligibility quiz. Only then applicants will be able to access the individual applications for any eligible scholarships.
Along with the application, the applicants should submit their academic transcripts, EFC (expected family contribution) from their SAR (Student Aid Report), two reference contacts information, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $1,500 yearly and is non-renewable.
One scholarship will be provided per year.
The deadline date is set for March 1
Graduating senior of a Chelan, Douglas or Okanogan county high school
Preference is given to students planning to major in music or journalism.
