About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Hawaii undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in education with an emphasis on teaching and have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher. Preference is given to non-traditional students with at least two years of teaching experience and to students of Hawaiian ethnicity. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 2.8 or higher. Must plan to major in education with an emphasis on teaching. Must be a resident of Hawaii. Must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student (12 credits per semester for undergraduate; 9 credits per semester for graduate). Must be a U.S. citizen. Preference is given to non-traditional students with at least two years of teaching experience. Preference is given to students of Hawaiian ethnicity or students from the neighboring islands that plan to teach in Hawaii.
