This Early Childhood Educators Scholarship Program was started for a pilot initiative by Lawmakers for the reason of increasing the quality and availability of teachers and care providers to work with young children and youth including infant/toddler, preschool and school-age programs. The scholarship is provided financial assistance for currently employed early childhood and out of school time educators and providers who enrol in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in Early Childhood Education or related programs.
Applications are available online on the Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance (MOSFA) website.

Students must have an active ECE Professional Qualifications Registry Number to be considered for the ECE Scholarship.
Amount Awarded for this scholarship is $9000 per year.
The number of this award given to the students are varies.
Deadline for this scholarship is June 1st.
The applicant must be a legal Massachusetts resident.
The student must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen under Title IV regulations.
The student should be approved by the Selective Service Commission.
The student should not have any federal or state student loans or owe a refund for any previous financial aid received.
The student must not be a recipient of any financial aids offered by the federal and state governments.
The applicant must be a matriculated student who is enrolled in an undergraduate program in fields related to Early Childhood Education.
The applicant must be employed as an educator in an early education and care program.
The student must not have completed a bachelor's degree before.
