About the Scholarship
Women in International Trade Los Angeles is a California non-profit organization established in 1985 by professional women in international trade. The Gladys A. Moreau scholarship is started to encourage women and men to pursue an academic study in the international field. The award will be given directly to the recipient, who is expected to apply the funds toward educational related expenses, such as tuition, books, study abroad program or international trade-related seminars/workshops. Students must demonstrate leadership qualities and participate in extracurricular activities in their college campuses or civic activities in their local communities.
How to Apply?
To be considered for this scholarship an applicant must fill out an online application form, which is found at the official website.
In addition to that, an applicant must submit the recommendation letter from his/her college professor as well as official transcripts indicating the school or college a student has attended.
Also, a student is required to submit a personal essay in order to receive this opportunity.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The foundation is awarding $1500 per annum to many eligible applicants and it is non-renewable.
The application deadline date is not yet fixed hence all applicants must contact the financial aid to get to know about the last date for sending scholarship application.
Must be enrolled as a full-time sophomore, a junior or senior undergraduate student at an accredited Southern California institution of higher education actively pursuing an academic discipline leading to a career in international trade, business, law or related international field.
A student must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
The recipient must be a legal U.S. resident or citizen.
