About the Scholarship
The Triangle Community Foundation offers this scholarship to the students who are in the most economical burden. The scholarship assists them economically based on their need and academic status of a student. To receive this fund an applicant must demonstrate financial need and good academic progress. The award can cover all education expenses like tuition costs, college fees, and books. The scholarship also may be used for technical or community college programs, vocational or trade programs, and a four-year college or university studies.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant must fill and submit a FAFSA application form in order to generate the Student Aid Report(SAR) which clearly tells about financial position of an applicant's family.
If not the Student Aid Report, an applicant can submit a Family's income tax report.
A student must write an essay that must include information about their career goals, extracurricular activities and community service they have participated in.
In addition to that, an applicant must submit the official transcripts of college.
Also, an applicant must provide the documents of work experience, extracurricular activities, and community service they have involved in.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The Scholarship awards $5,000 per year to the student who meets the eligibility. The award is renewable throughout their academic study.
Applicants must apply for this scholarship before 15th March 2019. All the documents needed for scholarship are submitted before the fixed deadline.
Students must be a U.S. Citizen for a minimum of one year, reside in Chatham, Durham, Orange, or Wake counties.
Students must be eligible to receive North Carolina resident tuition costs.
A student must attend a public state university or community college in North Carolina.
