About the Scholarship
This scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who have been residents of Durham, Orange, or Wake counties in North Carolina for one year or more. Students must demonstrate the potential to succeed despite adversity and have an exceptional desire to improve themselves through further education or training. Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must have been a resident of Durham, Orange, or Wake counties in North Carolina for one year or more and be eligible to receive North Carolina resident tuition costs. Must be a U.S. citizen for a minimum of one year at time of application. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award. Please note: Because of the nature of the scholarship, high school students seeking general scholarship assistance are discouraged from applying unless they have faced significant adversity. Must plan to attend a public state university or community college in North Carolina.
