About the Scholarship

The Scholarship is granted by the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation. The establishment provides financial assistance to qualified students who tend to fill Wisconsin’s health care workforce needed in the future. The greater part of the scholarship amount is accessible for students who are enrolled in the Medical School of Wisconsin and wanting to rehearse after completing their training.  

 


How to Apply?

  • The applicant must submit a personal statement addressing the topics listed on the application found on the official scholarship page. The statement should also include how he/she has demonstrated empathy, recognition of colleagues, passion for learning or his/her desire to share knowledge with colleagues.

  • Along with individual articulation, the candidate should also submit academic transcripts, two recommendation letters, and FAFSA.

  • If the applicants have applied for the financial aid program in his/her current academic year should enclose a copy of the award letter.

  • The statement along with the other required documents should be submitted before the deadline due date.

  • The applicants can get additional information from the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation authority site.

 


Scholarship amount and Deadline

The Scholarship award amounts to $1500 per year and is non-renewable by the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation. 

The deadline date is set for February 1. Students are required to submit every detail and documents online from the official website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants for the scholarship must be a full-time student attending an educational institution of medical school or health career program in Wisconsin.

  • Candidates must be an occupant of the Portage, Wisconsin area.

  • Students applying for the scholarship should have plans to specialize in pulmonary medicines or in general family practise.

  • Only those candidates can apply for the scholarship who is in his/her second year of a medical school program.

  • This Scholarship is accessible only for US students.

  • The applicants must be a US resident.
