About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. This scholarship was established to ensure that eligible individuals who have been or are in the foster care program of the Department of Human Services receive the assistance that includes housing, medical coverage, and education.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants should check out the program information on the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education site. The applicant should then contact the OSRHE or the financial aid office at his/her college or university.
The students that are eligible will be automatically considered for this award, upon being enrolled at an eligible college or university in Oklahoma.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award will cover the resident tuition cost at any participating institution in Oklahoma. Actual award amounts may vary depending on the type of college the student is attending. The award amount will approximately be $3000

An applicant must be a legal resident of Oklahoma.
A student must have graduated from within the previous three years from a State Board Education-accredited high school.
A student must be enrolled in any full-time program in a public institution.
Tuition waivers are available to students who have been in DHS for at least 9 months.
