About the Scholarship
This scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors who attend a public or private high school within the northern California or Nevada counties that JETAANC serves. Students must possess a sincere interest in Japan, as demonstrated by one or more years of directed interest. Application requirements for the JETAANC Scholarship are:Application form Official Transcript Recommendation letters (2) Essays (2)
Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident. Must possess a sincere interest in Japan, as demonstrated by one or more years of directed interest. Must plan to attend as a full-time student an undergraduate program at an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning within the United States commencing in fall 2009. Must attend a public or private high school within the northern California or Nevada counties that JETAANC serves. This area includes Monterey, Kings, Tulane, and Inyo counties and all Californian counties north of them. It also includes all of Nevada. Please note: This excludes San Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernadino, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial counties in California.
