About the Scholarship

The scholarship is sponsored by the Middletown Community Foundation, an organization that is ranked on top as the most active community foundation in Ohio for assisting students in easily paying for their education.

This scholarship is provided yearly to an African American student at Middletown High School who demonstrates high academic performance, participation in sports and are a commitment to serving the community. A student can utilize this scholarship to pay for their tuition or books.


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicant should complete the application which can be found on the Middletown Community Foundation site.

  • Along with the application, the applicant must also submit official academic transcripts that demonstrate the exceptional performance of a student in academics.

  • A student must also fill in their FAFSA application form to determine the financial position of a student

  • Additionally, An applicant must also submit a resume, SAT/ACT scoresheet, and FAFSA form before the deadline.


How much the scholarship award amounts to? 

  • The award amounts to $750 per year and is non-renewable, which is awarded to one student.

All the relevant documents must be submitted to the institution on or before February 14.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be an outstanding graduating senior from Middletown High School.

  • A student should hold a minimum of 3.5 GPA out of 4.

  • A student exhibiting leadership qualities, active participation in athletics, and community service will be more preferred.

  • It is important for a student to fill their financial information and submit a FAFSA form.
