About the Scholarship

The association behind this scholarship is the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) Institute for Oral Health, the main theme of the scholarship program is to offer financial assistance to dental hygiene students and dental hygienists who are on their pathway to excel in their profession.

A candidate can make use of this fund amount to pay for their tuition, fees, room, board, and any other educational expenses.


How to Apply?

  • Candidates should fill the online application form found on the ADHA Institute for Oral Health website along with all the necessary documents.

  • Each applicant is eligible for just a single scholarship offered by the ADHA Institute.

  • Candidates should submit an application for those scholarships for which he/she is best qualified.

  • Alongside the application, candidates must submit an essay detailing their long term career objectives, expected a commitment to the profession of dental hygiene, professional interests, extracurricular activities and the significance of the degree in accomplishing their profession objectives.

  • Candidates are also supposed to request the completion of faculty evaluation and program director sections, these sections should get finished online by the suitable school faculty.

  • ADHA prescribes applicants to take 3 to 4 months for finishing the previously mentioned sections.

  • All the applications must be duly submitted before the deadline.


Amount of Scholarship 

The awarded scholarship amount is $10,000 which is non-renewable for five deserving candidates every academic year.


Deadline Information

All the necessary documents and forms must be sent to the concerned department no later than February 01, 2020, to be eligible for the scholarship. any delay in submitting an application will lead to disqualification.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be a student or a professional member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA).      

  • Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident.    

  • It is mandatory for the applicants to be enrolled in a program of dental hygiene.  

  • Applicants who had completed a minimum of one year in a dental hygiene certificate, associate's degree, or baccalaureate degree curriculum are eligible for the scholarship.

  • Students who are going to enter or who are entering their first year of dental cleanliness program are not qualified for the grant, but students who are going to finish their first year at the time of application process are qualified.
