About the Scholarship
The Kansas Career Technical Workforce Grant is awarded by Kansas educational institution to the students who enrolled in an eligible career technical education program which is identified by offering a technical certificate or associate of applied science. Only technical certificate and associate of applied science degree programs are included among the eligible programs. The purpose of this grant program is to encourage individuals to further their education and provide the benefit of their employment to the State of Kansas to assist in the development of a strong state workforce in high demand, critical industry employment fields. Preference in awarding goes to applicants who demonstrate greater financial need.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant must fill and submit the FAFSA application by April 1st.
Also, an applicant must provide the State of Kansas Student Aid Application completed and submitted by May 1.
All applicants must submit the Career Technical Workforce Grant Verification Form completed by an official at their post-secondary institution.
Priority deadline May 1.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The Foundation is providing $1000 per year to full-time students. Awards can be renewable upon the student's academic progress.
All applicants need to apply for this grant before May 1st.
Applicant must be a Kansas resident.
Students should be enrolled in an eligible career technical education program operated by a designated Kansas educational institution that has been identified as offering a technical certificate or associate of an applied science degree program at a high cost, high demand, or critical industry field.
applicants should have the greatest financial need as measured by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students with, or applying for, baccalaureate degrees are not eligible for funding.
A student must have good academic progress.
