About the Scholarship

The Lee Tarbox Memorial Scholarship is given by Pacific Southwest Instruments and is available to high school seniors or college students who plan to attend or are attending an accredited school in an avionics or aircraft repair program.

The AEA membership includes government-certified international repair stations, manufacturers of avionics equipment, instrument repair facilities, instrument manufacturers, airframe manufacturers, test equipment manufacturers, major distributors, engineers, and educational institutions.

 How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Applications are available online at the AEA website. All candidates must fill the application form before applying to this award.

  • In addition to the completed application form, each applicant must submit a recent high school or college transcript.

  • An applicant should give answers to application questions and must type a 300-word essay. 

Award Amount and Deadline:

The organization is providing $2500 to one applicant per academic year and is non-renewable.

All the above-mentioned documents must be submitted by a student to the concerned department no later than April 1 to be among the eligible candidates to receive the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

  • An applicant must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or technical training program.

  • A recipient must be pursuing a career in avionics and/or aircraft maintenance.
