About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the North Carolina Baptist Foundation Inc., the oldest of all the state Baptist Foundation. The candidates they look for has to have consistent academic achievements and must present a high moral character and dedication to the church and community. Updates regarding the scholarship awards will be made on or before April 15th every year.


 

 

 

How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicant must fill up the application form which can be found at the North Carolina Baptist Foundation site.

  • Along with the application, the applicant must also submit his/her most recent school transcript, 2 reference letters with signature (one of which must be from an unrelated pastor), EFC (Expected Family Contribution), a copy of the SAR (Student Aid Report) and FAFSA

  • Submit the application and other required documents before the 15th of February


How much the scholarship award amounts to?

  • The award ranges between $500 and $2,500 and is not automatically renewed. Students can apply each year to be considered for the grant.

  •  Scholarships can be awarded for four years maximum during undergraduate studies and three years maximum during graduate studies.

  • The number of awards offered varies.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a legal resident or a citizen of the US and a resident of the North Carolina for at least one year prior to application submission day.

  • To be eligible, a recipient should be enrolled full-time enrollment in a degree program at Campbell University, Chowan University, Gardner-Webb University, Mars Hill University, Meredith College or Wingate University.

  • An applicant must be a member of a church affiliated with the North Carolina Baptist Foundation.

  • A student must submit the copy of FAFSA online report and official transcripts.
