About the Scholarship
This forgivable loan program is open to Maine students who are admitted to a program of dentistry at an accredited institution of dental education, leading to a D.M.D. or D.D.S degree. Recipients must practice general dentistry full time in an underserved area of Maine in an eligible dental care facility to qualify for loan forgiveness. Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have been a Maine resident, for purposes other than education, for a minimum of two years prior to matriculation into dental school. Must be admitted to a program of dentistry.
