Aviation scholarships are rewarded to students who pursue their education in aviation majors which include areas such as aeronautics, pilot training, aviation mechanics, or aviation business management. The aviation industry is steadily growing, and hence there is a need for adequate aviation professionals to have technical expertise.

A Bachelor of Aviation is designed for students who have a deep interest in the fields of mathematics and science and have a passion for the aeronautics industry. The program puts a step forward towards a career as a pilot, aeronautical engineer, air traffic controller, or an aviation researcher, among others. A variety of options are available around the world at top-notch universities to take a Bachelor in Aviation degree. To research and apply for the most relevant ones, College Scholarships help in choosing the best and increasing your chances to win awards. Also to be more specific, aviation scholarships and grants for females are provided.

Eligibility Criteria for Aviation Scholarships

Scholarships for aviation student have different eligibility criteria, however, we have listed down some,

  • Minimum age requirement of 15 years for glider training.

  • Age requirement of 16-19 for powered flight training.

  • Possession of a student pilot certificate.

  • Possession of FAA medical certificate. (private pilot students)

Undoubtedly, flight training is expensive. A private pilot certificate alone can probably cost you from $12,000 to $20,000, considering a  number of factors, such as location, quality of instruction, and the duration to complete your training.

Therefore people pursuing aviation-related careers can lower their tuition fees by obtaining college scholarships which are meant for aviation students. Regardless of the type of job you are interested in obtaining and the way you plan your preparations forward, there is probably a scholarship available for you.

Scholarships and grants can help defer the costs of flying or help you with more typical college expenses, such as tuition and books. Specific aviation scholarships exist, several of which are listed below. Additionally, due to the rigor involved in their academic program, aviation students are some of the most talented, level-headed, and dedicated college students, and thus they stand a particularly strong chance of winning scholarships from outside their discipline, as well.
