About the Scholarship
This award is available to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who have lost a parent/guardian to cancer or whose parent/guardian experienced a cancer diagnosis when the young adult applicant was between the ages of 15-35. Students must be residents of Howard County in Maryland. Application requirements for the Marilyn Yetso Memorial Scholarship are:Application form Recommendation letter Essay Doctor verification form
Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be 35 years of age or younger at time of application. Must have lost a parent/guardian to cancer or have a parent/guardian with cancer. The parent/guardian must have been diagnosed with cancer when the student was between the ages of 15 and 35. Must be currently attending, or be accepted to, a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational program (including graduate and professional schools), and must be a degree-seeking student.
