About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available for minority students who reside in and around Grand Rapids, Michigan. Applicants must be currently enrolled in one of the specified nursing specialities and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Application requirements for the Mary Free Bed Minority Scholarship Program are:Application form Official Transcript Recommendation letter List of service and extracurricular activities Student Aid Report Proof of citizenship Copy of driver's license Personal statement

Eligibility Criteria

Must be a minority student. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident. Must be enrolled full time. This award is for U.S. students. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application. Must reside in one of the following Michigan counties: Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Muskegon, Montcalm, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, or Calhoun.
