About the Scholarship
Massachusetts Foster Child Tuition Waiver and Fee Assistance Program is sponsored by the Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance. The DCF Foster Child Tuition Waiver and Fee Assistance Program was started to provide financial assistance to those children who were abandoned and not adopted by anyone. It is a burden to those children to get educational support all on their own, this is where this program has been started to reduce those financial burdens and help them with financial assistance.
How to apply for this scholarship?
The candidates must have been adopted by an eligible Massachusetts state employee or eligible Massachusetts resident.
Must have been in the custody of the Commonwealth for at least six months before age 18.
Be a current or former foster child who was placed in the custody of the state through a Care and Protection Petition, or Be a child whose guardianship was sponsored by the Department of Children and Families through age 18

This scholarship provides a tuition and fee waiver equal to 100% of the resident tuition rate.
This scholarship offers $4321 annually and the number of awards offered varies based on the number of eligible students.
The applications are to be submitted by the end of May 01, 2020. Application and other information are available on the official website of Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance (MOSFA)
Applicants to provide financial support for children in state custody who were neither adopted nor returned home.
Applicants must enroll as students in higher education institutions.
Applicants have been in the custody of the Commonwealth for at least six months before age 18.
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or non-citizen eligible under Title IV regulations.
