About the Scholarship

This award is available to Michigan resident undergraduate students who are enrolled at an approved Michigan postsecondary institution. Students must demonstrate both financial need and merit and must achieve a qualifying ACT score prior to entering college. Application requirements for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship are:FAFSA

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or an approved refugee (according to federal regulations). Must have been a resident of Michigan since July 1 of the previous calendar year. Must enroll on at least a half-time basis. Must have a score on all parts of the ACT test added together that equals 90 or higher (this is equal to a composite score of 23 or higher). Must be enrolled at an eligible Michigan postsecondary institution. Must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Must not be pursuing a degree in theology, divinity, or religious education.
