About the Scholarship

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. Scholarship is accredited by The American Welding. The American Welding Society (AWS) was found in 1919, AWS is a Charity foundation, which stikes to advance the science, technology and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying. The Miller Electric Mfg. Co. Scholarship was started as a nonprofit organization to help all individuals who show interest in building a career as an engineer in welding technology or welding engineering. 


What are the basic requirements needed to apply for this scholarship?

  • The student has to complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be able to apply or receive these financial aids.

  • Priority will be given to the student who exhibits a strong interest in welding equipment and has prior work experience in the welding equipment field.

  • Students must submit two letters of recommendation, one about the personal statement and the other one is Original Official transcript.

 

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $3000 annually and is nonrenewable

  • This scholarship award offers 2 awards annually.

  • No awards will be paid to the recipient. Awards are for tuition and fees only and will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.

The applications must be submitted by the end of March 01, 2020. Applications and other information are available on the official website of The American Welding Society (AWS).

 

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be attending a four-year college or university to qualify for any of the AWS scholarships.

  • Applicant should submit a proof of financial need is not required to qualify for this award.

  • The applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society, but it is preferred.

  • The applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.

  • Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average
