About the Scholarship

The Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity is administered by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. This grant is not a traditional grant concentrated on remunerating academic accomplishment and financial related need. Its particular objective is to compensate and empower imaginative and inventive critical thinking. The grant expects to respect candidates who exceed expectations as inventive issue solvers and to help make their advanced education objectives increasingly open.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Students must have to fill the FASFA application form and complete the required information.

  • The Selection Committee will choose the candidates who demonstrate the most guarantee as inventive, innovative problem solvers, based on their expositions, letters of proposal, and other information included with the application. academic and extracurricular information assumes a significant optional job in helping the Committee get a more full image of the candidate.

  • Official transcripts and a letter of recommendation must be submitted by the students.


Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity award amounts to

  • This scholarship amount ranges from $1,000 to $5,000 every year the awards are renewable for up to 4 additional years.

  • This scholarship offers 3-6 grants up to $20000 each to candidates who show outstanding development and inventiveness.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be from Connecticut or the New York City metro area and attending college anywhere in the U.S.

  • The applicant must be from any part of the U.S. who is attending college in CT or NYC.

  • The applicant must have has solved an artistic, scientific, or technical problem in a new or unusual way.

  • The applicant must have come up with a distinctive solution to problems faced by their school, community or family.
