About the Scholarship
The Nissan Scholarship is established by the Nissan North America, Inc. to the students of Mississippi public two-year or four-year college. The student who demonstrates financial need as well as leadership skills by participating in the extracurricular activities will receive this scholarship opportunity. Also, an applicant must fill the FAFSA application form to demonstrate their financial need. Based on the financial need of a student the financial aid will assist. The award amount can cover tuition costs, books, and college fees.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
A student must fill and submit the FAFSA application form.
In addition to FAFSA, an applicant must complete the online application. It should be completed each and every academic year to receive financial aid amount.
Also, an applicant must submit two forms of residency documentation. It must be FAFSA or Mississippi driver’s license.
What is the Total Amount Awarded?
The Organisation is awarding $6916 to one or two applicants.
All the documents needed for the scholarship are submitted between October 1st to March 1st of every year.
A student must be a graduating Mississippi high school student in the current year.
A student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale after a minimum of seven semesters to become eligible for this scholarship award.
The recipient must score a minimum of 20 on the ACT during a national test. Residual test scores are not acceptable.
A student must be a legal resident of the State of Mississippi for one year prior to application.
A student must enroll full-time at a Mississippi public community college or university in a program of study leading to a first associate’s or first bachelor’s degree.
