About the Scholarship

This award is available to New Mexico high school students who are enrolled at an eligible New Mexico public postsecondary institution. Students must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours) at an eligible New Mexico public college or university, in the first regular semester immediately following high school graduation; and must obtain and maintain at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA. Application requirements for the NM Legislative Lottery Scholarship are:Application procedures vary by institution.

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must graduate from a New Mexico public high school, an accredited New Mexico private high school, or have obtained a New Mexico GED (home-schooled students). Must enroll full time. Must attend an eligible New Mexico public postsecondary institution. Must be a resident of New Mexico. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must be enrolled in the first regular semester immediately following their high school graduation and have completed at least 12 credit hours.
