About the Scholarship

The Scholarship is funded by Northrop Grumman Corporation to help outstanding high school seniors who are preparing to pursue a career in authorized engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics program and who live in communities where Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has a significant presence.


How to apply?

  • Candidates are required to submit an essay of 500 words describing their career goals.

  • Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (un-weighted).

  • Candidates must have an official high school transcript.

  • Students are required to bring three letters of recommendation (one must be from the school principal).

  • Recipients of any other Northrop Grumman scholarships are not eligible.


Scholarship amount

The Northrop Grumman Corporation annually awards $2000, renewable for a further three years.  Students must continue as a full-time student in an approved engineering program (School of Engineering) at an accredited four-year college or university. Annual renewal in a full-time study program (minimum 3.0-grade point average) relies on adequate academic performance.


Deadline

Deadline for the scholarship is February 5, 2019.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be a US citizen.

  • Applicants must be a resident in one of the counties or communities mentioned in the official website.

  • Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25.

  • The recipient must continue as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university in an approved engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics program.

  • A minimum composite SAT score of 1150 or ACT score of 27 is required for students.

  • Students must be a graduating senior of a public or accredited private high school in sponsors location.
