Eligibility Criteria
Must be a legal resident of New York. Must have earned 12 credits or more in each of the two consecutive semesters, for a minimum total of 24 credits earned. Must attend one of the following eligible institutions in New York: the State University of New York (SUNY); the City University of New York (CUNY); or a Not-for-profit independent degree granting college in New York. Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen. Must be taking at least 6 but fewer than 12 credits per semester or at least 4 but fewer than 8 credits per trimester. Must demonstrate financial need and meet income eligibility limitations,m as determined by the New York Higher Education Commission.
