About the Scholarship
The Alaska Society of CPAs established the Paul Hagelbarger Memorial Fund in honor of one of its members in 1964. Paul Hagelbarger was the first elected President of the AKCPA and served for two consecutive terms. The main objective of this program is to educate Alaska residents in the field of accounting so that the scholarship is assisting students financially for their academic study. The scholarship is awarded based on the excellent achievement and interest of the student in pursuing a career in public accounting. A student must have a greater financial need to pursue academic study. Applicants must be a junior, senior, and graduate students who major in accounting and attend a four-year college in the State of Alaska
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant must complete online scholarship application which is found in the Alaska Society of Certified Public Accountants (AKCPA) website.
An applicant must demonstrate financial need for academic study.
In addition to that, an applicant must provide official transcripts of their current college.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The scholarship is providing $2500 to any number of applicants per year. The awards are non-renewable.
Applicants must apply for this scholarship before 20th November 2019. Applicants must submit all the necessary documents for scholarship before the mentioned deadline.
The scholarships are open to all junior, senior, and graduate students who major in accounting.
A student must attend a four-year institution in the State of Alaska.
- The awarding of scholarships will be based on the scholastic achievement, the student's intent to pursue a career in public accounting in Alaska, and financial need.
