About the Scholarship

Radio Television Digital News Foundation sponsors to Pete Wilson Journalism Scholarship. The foundation was established in 1946, The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) is the worlds biggest expert association committed solely to Communicate and advance journalism. The Pete Wilson Journalism Scholarship was built up in 2007 to respect the late Pete Wilson, a San Francisco television and radio journalist. the grant is allowed to a graduate journalism understudy from the San Francisco Bay region or going to a school or college in the Bay Area who offers Wilson's pledge to ethical, responsible journalism.


How to apply for Pete Wilson Journalism Scholarship?

  • The students applying for this grant must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

  • The student must submit a resume and a letter of recommendation from his/her dean, faculty advisor, or internship advisor.

  • The students must submit an essay describing current and past journalism experience and choice to pursue a career in electronic journalism.

 

Pete Wilson Journalism Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $2000 annually which is nonrenewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one award each year.

  • Students may apply for only one RTDNF scholarship, and past RTDNF scholarship winners are not eligible.

 

Deadline information

The scholarship applications are to be submitted by the end of January 15, 2020. Applications and other related informations are available on the Radio Television Digital News Foundation (RTDNF) website.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be from or studying in the San Francisco Bay area.

  • Students must be officially enrolled, full-time undergraduate or graduate students good standing when scholarships are awarded.

  • An applicant may apply for only one scholarship, past RTDNF scholarship winners are not eligible.
