About the Scholarship
Public Education and Citizenship Committee Statewide Essay Contest award is supporting public education and championing the cause of our public school systems. To accomplish their goals in Florida, the Grand Master appoints a Committee on Public Education and Citizenship, which serves to promote and aid students of our public school system. The Grand Lodge of Florida offers all graduating High School seniors and the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship that may be used to cover the academic cost of any State of Florida supported Institution.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
The student must complete the scholarship application form which is available on their scholarship provider website.
An applicant must write and submit an essay of 1,000 to 1,250 words on the topic “Why Education is Important”.
The application and essay must be received by the State Chairman before the deadline date.
Award Amount and Deadline:
Public Education and Citizenship Committee Statewide Essay Contest award amounts to $1000 available to 10 applicants per academic year.
The application and essay must be received by the State Chairman no later than midnight on January 20, 2020. Any applications and essays received after that date will not be considered for this scholarship program.
Students should be Graduating High School Seniors in the State of Florida who will be attending the State of Florida Supported Institution (college, university or institute).
The applicant must enter the school within one semester/quarter (excluding summer sessions) after having been awarded the scholarship.
