About the Scholarship

The VSAC foundation has started this scholarship to assist the individuals who are in great need of finance for the purpose of academic study in science, engineering or technology. Applicants for this scholarship need to attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding and must demonstrate financial need. Candidate selection for this funding is based on a student's application documents, academic achievement, and financial need. 


How to Apply for this Scholarship?

  • Applications are available from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) website. An applicant must visit the scholarship provider website to complete the online application form in order to receive this fund.

  • To apply, the student must complete and submit the VSAC Unified Scholarship Application.

  • An applicant must determine his or her financial need and academic achievement for this scholarship fund.

  • In addition to the above transcripts, he/she must give a letter of recommendation from his/her faculty member.

  • A student must write an essay on the topic which is given by financial aid.

  • Additionally, a student must give an official transcript of a college or institution where he or she is studying.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The VSAC is assisting $4000 to a selected applicant per academic year which is renewable up to three additional years.

The Deadline date is 12th February 2020. The scholarship application and official documents are submitted no later than the mentioned date.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a legal resident of Vermont.

  • The applicant must attend a Windham County high school or Springfield High School. 

  • The applicant must seek a bachelor of science degree in engineering or technology.

  • The applicant must demonstrate financial need. 

  • As student must demonstrate academic achievement.
