About the Scholarship

Each year the Santa Rosa chapter of the Ninety-Nines International Organization of Women Pilots awards a scholarship to a local woman pilot pursue a career in aviation. Application requirements for the Santa Rosa 99s Aviation Scholarship are:Application form Essay Recommendation letters (2) Budget statement Copies of flight records

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be 17 years of age or older at time of application. Must reside within 150 nautical miles of Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, CA. Must be a female. Must hold at least a current pilot private license, a current medical, and a current flight review. Must be planning a career in any area of aviation, with flight training or education in mind. The student must be eligible for the rating being applied for (i.e., number of flight hours required, ratings required, medical required).
