About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the American Academy of CPR and First Aid, an organization that started with the mission of teaching people how to save a life. They create online CPR courses that are designed to help the general public gain CPR skills and knowledge needed to help save a life. Their grant is awarded twice in a year, in spring and in fall. Each award will go to a different student in order to maximize the impact. The award is offered to those who are majoring or planning to major in a field related to medicine or teaching.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants should submit an original essay of 750-1000 words addressing that particular year's topic.
Along with the essay, applicants should also submit their contact information, name, address, email id, and academic transcripts.

How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $1500 yearly and is non-renewable.
Two scholarships will be provided each year.
The deadline date for
- Fall Scholarship - October 1
- Spring Scholarship - May 1
The applicant must be a U.S. resident.
The applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student.
Must be majoring in a field related to education, healthcare or mental health.
