About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the American Academy of CPR and First Aid, an organization that started with the mission of teaching people how to save a life. They create online CPR courses that are designed to help the general public gain CPR skills and knowledge needed to help save a life. Their grant is awarded twice in a year, in spring and in fall. Each award will go to a different student in order to maximize the impact. The award is offered to those who are majoring or planning to major in a field related to medicine or teaching.


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • Interested applicants should submit an original essay of 750-1000 words addressing that particular year's topic.

  • Along with the essay, applicants should also submit their contact information, name, address, email id, and academic transcripts.

  • The essay and other requirements should be sent via email to scholarship@onlinecprcertification.net

How much the scholarship award amounts to?

  • The award amounts to $1500  yearly and is non-renewable.

  • Two scholarships will be provided each year.

 Deadline Information

The deadline date for

  • Fall Scholarship - October 1
  • Spring Scholarship - May 1

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a U.S. resident.

  • The applicant must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student.

  • Must be majoring in a field related to education, healthcare or mental health.
