About the Scholarship
The Legislative Incentive for Future Excellence (LIFE) Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program provided by the financial aid office at each eligible public and accredited independent institution in South Carolina.
The LIFE Scholarship may be used towards the cost-of-attendance for up to four years of U.G study based on the student's initial college enrollment date. Students must be enrolled in their first one-year program, first associate’s degree, first two-year program leading to a baccalaureate degree, first baccalaureate degree, or first professional degree. Students must also show good academic performance in order to receive this fund.
How to apply for this scholarship program?
There is no application for the LIFE Scholarship. The students are nominated based on his/her official high school transcript. Interested students should contact his/her high school guidance counselor or college's financial aid office for additional details about the scholarship.
In addition to that, an applicant must provide the scorecards of the ACT/SAT to demonstrate the academic results.
Award Amount and Application Deadline
The SC LIFE scholarship is funding $5000 to any number of applicants per year and is renewable throughout an applicant's academic study.
All the necessary documents must be submitted to the institution on or before 1st November 2019 to be eligible for the scholarship.
The applicant should be a graduate from high school or complete a home school program as prescribed by law.
Applicant should attend an eligible South Carolina public or private college or university.
The applicant should be a South Carolina resident at the time of high school graduation and at the time of college enrollment.
The applicant should be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident.
