About the Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by “Central Scholarship Bureau”.

This organization provides more than $1 million in scholarships.

They provide talented students with scholarships and interest-free loans and empower students to achieve their educational goals by reducing financial burdens. Every year they are proud to be helping so many talented students.

 They fund hundreds of applicants for undergraduate, secondary and professional training in Maryland.

CSB's philosophy is based on the goal of providing access to college education.

 

How to apply for the Scholarship?

  1. Applications and other info can be found on the website of the Central Science Bureau (CSB).
  2. The student must submit the following documents in addition to the completed application: a copy of his / her existing Free Application for FAFSA or SAR, a completed' Budget Form,' including the most recent tax return of the applicant.
  3. Once the FAFSA has been approved, the SAR is sent to students.
  4. Students must submit the deadline for filing the FAFSA.
  5. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, in guidance offices for high schools, and in financial assistance offices for college.
  6. In addition to completing the application for a scholarship, the applicant must also contact the CSB office to schedule an interview, including all the necessary information for the loan application. It is necessary to apply completed online applications by the deadline date.

 

Award amount of the Scholarship:

     Award for this scholarship is $ 1500 annually and this totally non-renewable.

     Only 4 awards are offered annually.

Deadline for the scholarship:

      The Deadline for this scholarship is on Monday, April 1, 2019


Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility:

  1. He/ She must be a high school senior to apply for this undergraduate award.
  2. The applicant must be a resident of Baltimore City, Prince George's County, MD or Washington, D.C. Preference will given to residents of Baltimore City and Washington, D.C.
  3. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  4. The applicant must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
  5. The candidate must have a gross family income of less than $90,000.
  6. He/ She must plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student during the following academic year.
