About the Scholarship

SHPE will provide this scholarship program to the applicants who are employed full-time in the U.S. or Puerto Rico in a technical career field and enrolled in a STEM master's or doctoral degree program. A student should be good at academic performance and must maintain the cumulative GPA as specified by the financial aid.


How to Apply?

  • In order to apply for this scholarship award, an applicant must create an account with the username name and password, to get the scholarship application form.

  • A student should first fill and submit the online application form to get the fund amount.

  • A  student should give a personal statement and a resume that should not exceed two pages and includes information about education, work, and volunteer background and experience.

  • An applicant also needs to provide his/her most recent official transcript, and at least one letter of recommendation from a faculty member.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship award amount is $2000 given to all deserving candidates. 

The Deadline for this scholarship is June 30, 2019. All applicants should submit their official transcripts before the given deadline.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be employed full-time in the U.S. or Puerto Rico in a technical career field.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in a STEM master's or doctoral degree program.

  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.75.

  • The applicant must be enrolled as a half-time student.

  • The applicant must be an SHPE member.
