Like the beaches in the youngest state to enter the union, the scholarships offered to students in Hawaii is also vast. As it is quite expensive for students to attend an accredited college, university and other institutions, the scholarships are very helpful and supportive of the recipients. The scholarships are awarded to students based on the academic status, the financial status and the different achievements the students have acquired in their past. Hawaii is famous for the number of attractive spots like the Pearl Harbour, the volcanoes, and so on, similarly, there are a number of educational institutions that include trade schools and universities and colleges offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs. These universities offer programs to the students who are pursuing academic programs in majors like oriental medicine, agricultural science, marine biology and related subjects. The educational expenses are taken care of by different state and private organizations, federal groups, and universities and colleges.

There are over 20 educational institutions in the state of Hawaii that includes top universities like the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH or UH Hilo), the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Hawaii Pacific University (HPU). There are plenty of scholarships available to the residents of the state of Hawaii as well as the students who intend to pursue their education in the universities and other institutions in the state of Hawaii.

Although there are different community colleges that offer education in low expenses, certain universities and other institutions have high academic and other costs. For such students, the scholarships offered are of great financial aid. Following are the few scholarships offered by the state and private organizations of the state of Hawaii:
