South Carolina Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing their education in south Carolina be it freshmen, graduates, transfer, or students continuing their education.
South Carolina also is known as the Palmetto State has been known for its southern charm. It is known to attract students to its historic cities, such as Charleston and Columbia. Thus being a resident of South Carolina, you have the perks of college scholarships. Don’t worry if you don’t live in South Carolina currently but plan to attend one of its schools, such as:

Thus because of the above reasons, it’s no wonder why students look to the Palmetto State as the perfect place to continue their education.

You must be a graduate from a South Carolina high school
You must be a full-time undergraduate student
You shouldn’t have been convicted for any second or subsequent alcohol or drug-related misdemeanor in any state within the past academic year.
You must meet all general eligibility requirements.
You must have a GPA of 3.00
It is required that you have a minimum SAT test score of 1100 on critical reading and math sections combined or ACT test score of 24(it varies from scholarship to scholarship)
You must have graduated in the top 30 percent of your high school graduating class.

Your eligibility during your first year is based on your initial college enrollment and all non-remedial hours earned and cumulative grade point average at your previous institution(s).

When it comes to Scholarships,there is no limit on applying hence the more the merrier. Your chances increase when you apply more. Devote some of your time each week only to apply to different college scholarships.
Start early with your application. It may happen that you might lose out on some applications if you don’t apply early as you might skip the deadline. Hence keep a reminder for the applications and apply as early as possible so that you don’t stress out too much in the end.
Being a high school student, you can start applying for scholarships in your junior year. High school seniors can apply one year before in the hope to win scholarships.
