About the Scholarship

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship is assisting the residents of the Tennesse and awarded many entering freshmen and sophomores who are enrolled at a two-year or four-year eligible postsecondary institution within 16 months after graduating from an accredited Tennesse highschool. The award is based on the financial need and academic excellence of an applicant. The fund amount is given in the form of net proceeds of the state lottery. An applicant must maintain the minimum cumulative GPA as specified by the financial aid of the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • The students are required to fill and submit the FAFSA application form in order to demonstrate and assist the students financially.

  • The Student Aid Report will be generated after filing the FAFSA form, the SAR gives the overall financial details about the student's family.

  • A student must demonstrate their academic performance by submitting the official transcripts of ACT/SAT scorecards.

Award Amount and Deadline:

The Organization is funding $1750 for a four-year institution per full-time enrollment as a freshman and sophomore and then up to $2250 per full-time enrollment as a junior and senior. And $1500 for a two-year institution per full-time enrollment semester as a freshman and sophomore. The award number varies to the number of applicants. The fund is renewable throughout an applicant's graduate study.

The scholarship deadline is fixed on 1st September 2020. All applicants must apply to this scholarship before the mentioned date.


Eligibility Criteria

  • A student should be Tennessee resident.

  • A student should graduate from a TN eligible high school.

  • The recipient must enroll in one of the Tennessee public colleges, universities, or private colleges.

  • A student must have a minimum of a 21 ACT or a minimum of 1060 SAT, exclusive of the essay and optional subject area battery tests.

  • A student should have a minimum 3.0-grade point average.

  • A student must enroll within 16 months following high school graduation at any post-secondary institution.
