About the Scholarship
The Hamilton Award is given by the Alexander Hamilton Scholars. Their mission is to empower and provide an opportunity to high-achieving, underserved students allowing them to succeed in college and career.
How to Apply
The Application is available online on the official website of the Alexander Hamilton Friends Association website. To apply for this grant, the student must create a login using his/her email address and a password. In addition to the applicant, the student must submit a letter of recommendation, a short 350 words essay about him/herself and a personal need assessment.
This scholarship award provides $500 per year and is non-renewable.
The number of awards offered by this scholarship is 35 recipients each year.
The applications are to be submitted by the end of January 29, 2020. Students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other requirements before the due date to meet eligibility.
All applicants should:
Must be juniors in high school
Must be high-achieving and service-focused
Must possess grit and perseverance
Must have demonstrated need
Must live in the United States (though you don't have to be a resident)
Must be college-bound to a US-based institution
Must be committed to participating in rigorous five-year curriculum
Must be able to attend New York Leader Week July 11-16, 2020
