About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Vermont undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing degrees in nursing. Recipients must work as a nurse in Vermont or at an accredited hospital within ten miles of the Vermont border for a minimum of one year following licensure for forgiveness of the loan. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must attend or plan to attend an accredited Vermont postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding. Must be a resident of Vermont. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Must plan to enroll in an accredited licensed practical nursing (LPN) degree program, OR be in the final year of an accredited associate's degree program in nursing (AS, RN), OR be in the final two years of an accredited bachelor's of science degree program in nursing (BSN, RN), OR be in the master's entry program in nursing (MEPN). Please note: Graduation from the program must result in eligibility to sit for the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN examination. Must be an incoming or current undergraduate or graduate student.
