About the Scholarship
Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program is authorized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
The institution is a not-for-profit veterans service association that involves qualified veterans and military assistance from the reserve forces. It was started to cultivate brotherhood among United States veterans of overseas conflicts.
Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program was established in the year 1947 that furnishes secondary school students with the extraordinary chance to communicate themselves with an equitable and patriotic-themed recorded article.
How to apply for this scholarship?
Students must submit an essay on the current year's contest theme.
The applicant must submit their essay on CD or flash drive, the record must be between three to five minutes.
A candidate must submit a typed version of his/her recorded essay.
No entries should be submitted to the VFW National Headquarters.
Written essay and recorded essay must be submitted to the applicant's local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Department before the deadline.
Scholarship Award Amount
This scholarship award varies each year which ranges up to $30000.
The total number of awards offered through this scholarship varies annually depending on the total number of applications received for the current academic year.
The applications are to be submitted to the concerned department on or before the completion of October 31, 2020.
Students are advised to keep track of deadlines and send the necessary documents in advance to avoid their application getting rejected.
A candidate must be 19 years of age or younger at the time of application.
An applicant must relevant documents to prove their citizenship in the United States to be eligible to receive the scholarship amount.
