This award is given by the organization American Indian College Fund. This organization was started in 1989 for the Tribal college/University's students in the USA. This scholarship is given to those candidates who are pursuing their career in college.

The candidate must have to submit his/her FAFSA certificate.

The candidate must have to submit his/her CAT/SAT scorecard.

The candidates must have to submit his/her academic scorecard.

The applicant must have to submit his/her recommendation letter.

The candidate has to submit an essay on his/her career plan and future plan.

The candidate must have to submit the membership card of federal or state-recognized tribe.

The awarded amount for the scholarship:

The awarded amount for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Tribal College Scholarship is $2,750 per year and is non-renewable.

The number of the award given to the eligible candidates per year varies and depends on the number of eligible students applied for this scholarship and the availability of the fund.

Deadline for the scholarship:

The deadline for the scholarship is the 31st of May.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant to be eligible must have earned at least a 2-grade point average out of 4 for the scholarship.
  • A student must be a first-year, first-generation college student and be a legal citizen of the United States.
