About the Scholarship

The institution offering this scholarship opportunity is the Bill of rights institute. Winners who were qualified to receive the funds will be announced on the contest site in April.

Application pathway:

  • Applications are available online on the Bill of rights website.

  • An essay of more than 800 words should be submitted

  • All the required documents must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. PST on the deadline date.

  • Formalities of FAFSA must be met.

Award amount:

Winner - $5000

6 Runner ups - $1250

8 honorable mention recipients - $500

All the awards are offered annually and are non-renewable.


The deadline is on 14th February.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Permanent residency or US citizenship

  • The applicant should be between 14 - 19 years of age.

  • Should be in ninth grade through 12 attending a public, private, religious, or charter school or be enrolled in a GED or correspondence school program or be enrolled in a homeschooling program.

  • Candidate must exhibit descent academic excellency.
