About the Scholarship

Wisconsin Hearing & Visually Handicapped Student Grant Program is accredited by the State of Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board. The institution was started to provide financial assistance for Wisconsin residents attending institutions of higher education. This grant is for those students who show financial need and have a severe hearing or a sight problem.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • The applicants applying for this grant must have been completed their FAFSA application to meet eligibility.

  • Students who are planning to enroll for this grant must be dumb and have lost the visual high/sight loss.

  • Candidates must demonstrate financial need for this scholarship.

  • Medical application form must be submitted with a medical professional signature and seal.


Deadline and Scholarship amount

  • This scholarship program grants provides $1800 annually, which is renewable for up to 5 years based on students' academic progress.

  • The number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the availability of funds and students meeting their eligibility.

  • This program grants scholarships to only those who suffer from hearing aid and visual loss.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must have a severe to profound hearing or visual loss and demonstrate financial need to qualify for this grant. If the student has another disability, he/she should contact their local Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.

  • A student can attend an out-of-state school and still be eligible for this grant.
