Fire science is the study that is concerned with all aspects of fire, from fire behavior to fire investigation. This is the study that provides information about the causes of fire, preventing measures, emergency tactics and everything related to the fire.

An Associate’s degrees prepare students for entry-level firefighting positions. It requires 60-90 credits and takes 2 years to be completed.
A Bachelor’s degree provides students with advanced knowledge in the specialized fields of fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency response management, fire safety, and leadership. It requires 120-125 credits and takes 4 years to be completed.
A Master’s degree provides the knowledge of professional practice and qualifies students for advancement to leadership or managerial positions. It requires 36-70 credits and 2 years to be completed.
The minimum GPA requirement to apply for admission in fire science programs is 2.00 or higher.
